Dream stabilisation
This is a more detailed look at stabilising a dream.
When you're in a dream, it's important to stabilise it so you don't just wake up or fade out of the dream and lose lucidity.
Without doing this, you could easily just fall into the dreamworld and have a normal dream, over which you have no control.

Spinning
This is a fairly basic one, but if you spin on the spot in a dream, the dream gets more stable and you start thinking more clearly. It will make you more aware of the dream world and what's going on. You can also use this idea to make a new scene appear in front of you. Just start spinning, while visualising what you want to appear. When you stop spinning, it should be there.
Grounding yourself.
Either sit down, or lay down on the ground, and just relax. think of it like meditating while dreaming. focus on feeling the energy between you and the ground. if you notice anything moving around you, just don't move for now, it will move around you. you may find yourself start to float up into the air, this is not a problem, still focus on your connection to the dream world.
Gathering 'Chi'.
Stand or sit still, try not to move much, and stretch your arms out in front of you. Imagine and try to feel an energy sourced in the middle of your chest and also coming from behind your forehead. as you stretch your hands out, feel the energy in the palms of your hands, you may even see the energy in the dream as a sort of gas, or colored steam rising from your palms.
Now imagine the energy going from your hands, chest and forehead down through your body, and into the ground.
Feel your feet against the ground, and concentrate on feeling the energy between your feet and what your're standing on.
This will really ground you in the dream and the clairty of the world will be increased many times.
Focus
This is a simple idea, try and focus on the details of the world. Look closely at things around you, walls, writing you may see around you, (Although, in dreams it's often very difficult to read words and text, they appear as a blur of lines).
Also look at your hands, notice how much more detailed they appear than in real life.
You notice every tiny detail about them, the individual lines in your fingerprint, and the texture on your finger nails. Noticing this detail will make you more aware and receptive to the details of bigger things in the dream world.
Asking dream characters to help you
If you see people in your dream, They are a projection of your subconscious mind.
Either people you've met, people you've seen a picture of, or a projection of a part of your mind, or a trait of your own, or someone else' personality. If you talk to them, they can answer questions about the dreamworld, take you to secret places, help you get where you want to get in the dreamworld, and more importantly, help you stay Lucid. Ask them to help you stay in the dream, and they will.
Asking Dream characters to become Lucid
This is an interesting one. Find some dream characters and tell them they're dreaming. Let them know that it's all a dream and they can do anything they want. Tell them also, that they don't need to stick to social norms, they'll start acting like real people, and they things you can do once your dream characters also become Lucid is really eye opening.
Try this for yourself, let me know how you get on in the comments section.
